Returns & Refunds Policy

Overview

Our store carries two types of products, each with distinct return policies:

  • Made-to-order items (apparel, totes, wall art, books) — produced specifically for you; not eligible for returns.
  • Newspaper back issues & special editions — all sales are final; no returns or exchanges accepted.

Made-to-Order Items

Because these items are produced on demand, we do not accept returns for any reason, including general dissatisfaction or sizing. We strongly encourage reviewing size guides and product details before purchasing.

If your item arrives defective, damaged, or incorrect, please contact us within 30 days of delivery and we'll make it right.


Newspaper Back Issues & Special Editions

All newspaper back issues and special editions are final sale. No returns, exchanges, or refunds are accepted.


Damages, Defects & Incorrect Items

If you receive a damaged, defective, or incorrect item, please contact us at hnp.stores@hearst.com within 30 days of delivery. To help us resolve your request quickly, please include the following in your message:

  • Order number
  • Store or publication name
  • Email address used at checkout
  • Brief description of the issue
  • Photos, if the issue involves a damaged, incorrect, or defective item

Our team typically responds within 1–2 business days. During high-volume periods, response times may be longer.

For urgent order changes or cancellations, include "URGENT" in your subject line. We will do our best to help, but changes cannot be guaranteed once an order has entered fulfillment.


Non-Returnable Items

The following are non-returnable regardless of product type:

  • All newspaper back issues and special editions
  • Sale items
  • Gift cards
  • Digital downloads

Refunds

Refunds are issued only for confirmed defective, damaged, or incorrect items. Once your claim is received and reviewed, we'll notify you of the outcome. If approved, your refund will be applied to your original payment method within 10 business days. Your bank or credit card company may require additional processing time.
